My Girlguiding journey began as a Brownie and Guide in the 1980s and 1990s, where I gained my Baden-Powell Trefoil Award, an achievement that helped shape my lasting connection with Guiding.
When I moved to London, I became a leader and have now been involved in leading Brownie and Guide units for more than 20 years. Over that time, I have taken Brownies on holidays, events and adventures, and supported Guides through camps, trips and a wide range of activities.
I love Guiding and, over the years, it has given me the opportunity to make many wonderful friends while creating experiences and memories with girls and young women.
Most of all, I love that Guiding gives girls a safe and welcoming place to make friends, learn new skills, build confidence and discover what they are capable of, all while having plenty of fun along the way.
Oh and it helps me continue to be a big kid.
